In the following 2 questions, the answers may not be in the applet text pages. You may use any  reference texts to answer the following questions.
 
 

1.  In Triode region operation, set |Vds| < |Vgs| - |Vt|, and with |Vgs|  kept increasing,  what  do you observe in the MOSFET channel region  ?
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

2. In Saturation region operation, first set Vds = Vds(sat) and |Vgs| > |Vt|. If one keeps increasing |Vds|, what do you observe in the MOSFET channel region ?   If the inversion channel is pinched off, that is, not continuously touching the Drain region, then how would the current flow ?  Is the electric current  proportinal to electric field intensity in the channel reqion ?
