Introduction

Overview:
In this applet, we study the three basic configurations of BJT amplifiers: CE, CB and CC (or Emitter Follower).  To simplify matters, capacitors are employed for signal coupling and other purposes.  Although this limits the application of the resulting circuits to discrete circuit design, the results are directly applicable to integrated-circuit versions.

For introduction to the basic transistor amplifiers, please refer to any electronic circuits text books or this reference based upon which this applet was developed.

Visualization Mode:

  1. On the left,  applet shows the circuit diagram.
  2. On the right, the applet shows the small-signal equivalent circuit.
  3. IF you move your Mouse over the symbol of a circuit element, you shall see the small-signal equivalents appearing, and the small-signal model elements are highlighted in the small-signal equivalent panel.
